Ancho Gigantea is a mild chili that is 4 to 6 inches long and 3 to 4 inches wide. This distinctively rich Mexican poblano sets the standard for sauces and stuffing; it is also excellent used fresh for chile rellenos. Pods have medium thick flesh. Matures from dark green to red. Plants grow between 30 to 36 inches tall. Used for Mexican cuisine, mole, powder, roasting and stuffing. Called a pablano when fresh and ancho when dried.

Instructions: Sow seeds indoors ¼” deep. Peppers germinate best in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors until soil is warm.
